Vegan Village Society Successfully Hosts 3rd Annual Vegan Festival in Rubanda District
The Vegan Village Society Uganda on Saturday, 20th December 2025, successfully hosted its 3rd Annual Vegan Festival at Kashongati Primary School in Kishanje Parish, Bufundi Sub-county, bringing together communities to celebrate compassionate, healthy, and sustainable living.

The colorful event attracted over 300 participants from across Rubanda and neighboring districts, marking a major milestone in the organization’s efforts to promote plant-based living and veganic gardening in Uganda.
The festival featured a variety of engaging and educational activities, including live vegan cooking demonstrations, veganic gardening exhibitions, and food tasting sessions where attendees enjoyed a wide range of nutritious vegan foods and refreshing plant-based drinks. Participants also interacted with exhibitors showcasing locally grown vegetables, seeds, and eco-friendly products.

ing during the event, Vegan Village Society Director and Founder, Mr. Bob Rumanzi, applauded the community for embracing change and showing commitment to ethical living.

“This festival is not just about food; it is about transforming mindsets. We call upon everyone to care for animals, protect the environment, and actively engage in veganic gardening to ensure food security and better health for our families,” Mr. Rumanzi said.

Participants commended Vegan Village Society for its consistent efforts in empowering women groups, supporting community gardens, and raising awareness on animal welfare. Many noted that the festival had opened their eyes to the health, economic, and environmental benefits of growing and consuming plant-based foods.

Local leaders and community members present described the festival as timely and impactful, especially at a time when communities are seeking affordable, healthy, and climate-resilient food options. Women groups supported by the organization shared testimonies on how veganic gardening has improved household nutrition and income.

The event was also characterized by music, interactive discussions, and networking, creating a lively and inclusive atmosphere that reflected unity and shared purpose.
As the festival concluded, Vegan Village Society reaffirmed its commitment to expanding veganic gardening initiatives, supporting grassroots communities, and advocating for compassionate living across Uganda.

The successful hosting of the 3rd Vegan Festival further cements Vegan Village Society Uganda’s position as a leading voice in promoting ethical, sustainable, and plant-based lifestyles in the country.
