The vegan Village Society team joined Eyes On Animals and West Africa center for the protection of Animal Welfare in a visit to Pokrom Pig Farm in Eastern Accra to check on how pigs are treated during the slaughter process.
Due to our good working relationship with other sister Animal Welfare Organizations, in December 2022 our team attended welfare training in Western Africa. This training was organized by the West Africa Center for the protection of Animal Welfares ( WACPAW) in partnership with Eyes On Animals. We visited different farms Like Ampomaa and Pokrom Farms to check on how Animals are treated before they are taken for slaughter.
On 8th Dec 2022, we joined sister Animal welfare Organizations in Ghana to hand over a captive bolt stunner to the administrators of Gbawe Pig Abattoir (GPA) in Central Accra.
