Vegan Village Society Announces Second Annual Vegan Festival on December 14, 2024

Vegan Village Society has announced the date for its second annual vegan festival, set to take place on December 14, 2024. The announcement was made by the director of Vegan Village Society, Bob Rumanzi, on Friday evening.

Founded in 2020, the Vegan Village Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting animal welfare and a plant-based lifestyle in Uganda. This upcoming festival marks the second major event hosted by the society, following the success of the inaugural festival.

The first vegan festival, which featured a variety of activities including cooking demonstrations, drew over 500 attendees from both Uganda and abroad. The event made a significant impact by raising awareness about the benefits of a vegan lifestyle and the importance of animal welfare.

Bob Rumanzi emphasized the mission of the festival, stating, “Our goal is to create greater awareness about animal welfare and to promote a plant-based lifestyle in Uganda. We hope this event will inspire more people to consider veganism as a viable and ethical lifestyle choice.”

Rumanzi called on the general public to embrace a vegan lifestyle and to consider the welfare of animals as a critical step in combating climate change. “Adopting a plant-based diet is not just about personal health benefits but also about making a positive impact on our environment and animal welfare,” he added.

The festival promises to offer a diverse range of activities aimed at educating and engaging attendees, including cooking demonstrations, workshops, and presentations by notable figures in the vegan community. Vegan Village Society hopes to build on the momentum of the first festival and attract an even larger audience this year.
